Five steel beams span the creek and each has a 4x8 timber bolted to the top of it. Replacing this support timber is the most difficult - and most critical - part of the project. There are only four or five bolts in each timber, but almost all of them had to be cut to be removed. Determing where to drill the holes in the replacement timbers was also an interesting (!) process. |
