9/28/98 A view from above, looking north, shows the roof beams
in place. The near (south) wall has almost all of the siding
installed, and a portion of the white "Tyvek" plastic house wrap
can be seen at the left. This is installed on all the exterior
walls before the wood siding.
9/28/98 The northwest corner from inside, showing framing for
the three windows that will be installed on each side of the
corner.
9/28/98 A view of the north wall from inside, showing the white
plastic installed outside the frame and under the exterior siding.
Note the two diagonal braces with screw-adjustable ends that
serve to keep the top of the frame in exact alignment so that
all the notched
rafters will fit correctly when they are installed on top.
9/28/98 An outside view of the northwest corner, showing the
siding and windows in place on the north wall.
9/28/98 The south wall, with the near door and three windows
serving the bathroom, and the far door giving external access
to the space for the water heater and radiant floor equipment.
The beam in the foreground will support a 6 foot roof overhang.
11/24/98 The shower is being installed. The light bulb
is providing warmth to cure the adhesive where the shower wall
has been cut for a window and the remaining rim glued to
the wall for rigidity. Note the skylight directly above the
shower
11/24/98 A view of the "front" of the bedroom, looking
northwest out of the windows. The walls have been
insulated, and the first of the ceiling sheetrock has been
installed. One of the two bedroom skylights can be
seen here.
12/9/98 This inside view of the front of the bedroom shows that the
sheetrock has been taped and textured. One more smoothing
operation, and it will be ready for paint.
