8/22/00 Fire escaped from the covered burn barrel to burn both sides of Dog Creek from the wood shed to the south end of the bridge. CDF responded very quickly with two engines and stopped the fire from crossing Orr Creek. Even so, hours later fire re-erupted up in the large tree and required night-time ladder climbing with a garden hose to finally put it out.
